Why is soy wax better? Are your candles all soy wax or a blend?

Jade: Hey Melanie,

This is a great question! I’ll answer your second question first: our candles are made from a blend of all-natural essential oils (love this) and 100% soy wax. No other type of wax is used, so you know you’re getting a candle made from high-quality materials!

There are so many reasons that soy wax is better for the environment, and for you. Here are a few of my favorites:

• Unlike paraffin wax, which is still used by many major candle manufacturers, the soy wax we use is never manufactured with harmful chemicals. When burned, chemicals are released into the environment – GROSS! No, thank you.
• Soybeans are biodegradable and renewable. Other resources are used to grow soybeans but when farmed responsibly soy is the greener choice!
• Soy wax cleans up easily from surfaces so you can wash your empty jar with soapy, warm water when your candle products are spent and reuse them around the house!
• Jackpot's soy wax products produce less soot so there is less residue left behind on the jar if you are burning safely. (HOT tip - Less soot and clean jars makes it easier to post great pics of your candle and jewelry to social media, too!)
• Soy wax candles burn longer and more slowly than other kinds of candles and release their scent for longer. Who doesn't like to get more for your money? I do!
  

So, soy wax is a little safer, a little cleaner, and a little more green than other wax alternatives and here at Jackpot Candles it’s the only choice for us. Thanks for asking, Melanie!
