You're exactly right, there is a ring INSIDE of every single candle, crazy right?! We love giving a little (or big) extra surprise to our amazing customers. Our candles are about the same price as some popular shopping mall brand candles but we've added a fun surprise with ours. You could find a ring valued anywhere from $15 to $5,000!

Where does the wax go when you burn a candle?

Yes! A science question!!

I only have a little bit of space here so I'll keep it simple. Essentially, the wax molecules vaporize due to the heat given off by the flame from your candle. As wax touching the wick is dispersed into the air, the wick sucks up more of the melted wax nearby and the process continues.

Because it's getting vaporized, that doesn't mean that you're breathing it in though. Our candles are made with natural soy wax so it burns really efficiently and very clean - all that is released into the air is carbon dioxide and water! The vaporized wax doesn't have the opportunity to travel very far so you're left with a clean-burning candle experience.

How did the idea come up of placing jewelry in candles?

Great question!

We started with wanting to create a 100% soy-based candle that wouldn't be bad for the environment - we're passionate about that around here! Next, we wanted some amazing unique scents so we started developing those. There were a few other candle companies out there who were doing something similar and we wanted to set ourselves apart and make the whole experience a little more fun for our customers. So... after a lot of thinking, we figured we would add that little extra element of fun by hiding a ring inside the box with the candle but that was too simple, right? Lol! After a little testing, we figured out a way to get it inside the wax because what is life without being a little extra?!
