We can all agree that Jackpot candles are a great gift for mom because she gets a candle and jewelry in one gift, right? As you can imagine, my mom has a lot of Jackpot candles! Below are examples of candles I’ve given to my mom.

• Custom Label Personalized Candle –One candle that I gifted my mom was a custom candle with a picture of us when I was little! It was so sweet, and she really liked it! I love all the custom options, for someone as important as my mom I like to customize to make sure it's a perfect fit.

• Lavender Candle – My mom also loves essential oils so I would get her lavender (I have a tattoo of lavender for my mom). Mom grew a lilac bush outside of our house so whenever I smell that I think of her! 

We have so many other candles that will make any momma happy, too! 

• Custom Photo “You Have My Heart” Candle– You can choose a custom locket with a photo of your fam. It smells divine!

• Our wine candles are always a hit! Mom can reuse the glass so maybe add a glass of her favorite wine too…

What's the difference between your wood wick and double wick candles? Is one better than the other?

Jade: Hey Trish,

The answer to your question depends on what you like about candles. Wooden wick and double cotton wicks in candles each have unique qualities like aesthetics and efficiency. 

Wooden Wicks

There are several reasons why wooden wicks are great. Wooden wicks:

• create a great fireplace vibe with their crackling sound
• are less harmful to the environment than many kinds of wick
• burn evenly with minimal residue or smoke
• burn at a high temperature that helps disperse fragrance around the room

Both cotton and wood wicks are better for the planet than other kinds of wicks, and wood has the added benefit of looking classy too!

Double Cotton Wicks

Cotton wicks are also less harmful to the environment than lots of the alternatives. Besides that, Jackpot’s double wicks ensure that every bit of wax from your candle will be burned efficiently. Why waste a single candlelit moment?

To answer the second part of your question, the best kind of wick is the one you like best, so if the crackle of a wood wick makes you feel a little cozier that’s the best option. If you love the efficiency and extra light of a double wick, there’s nothing better. 

And don’t forget what I always say – Trim Yo’ Wicks after every burn!
