We're happy to say Jackpot Candles is made in the USA! Let's break down why we think this is an amazing thing and why it's something we're proud of!
Where in the USA?
As many of you already know, Jackpot Candles is a small business based in the Buffalo, NY area... Amherst to be exact! If you know anyone who's from this area, you'll know that we are incredibly proud of our local community. We're really into supporting locally-made goods and (as a small business ourselves) we're all about the small biz love!
From the jars that we use for our candles right down to the wicks in the center - they're all sourced from shops within the USA to create a product that we're proud of and that you can feel good about buying!
Who are we all about?
We're all about the little guy.. the underdog!
We've created jobs for several artists in the Western, NY area - creatives who come up with everything from the design of our candle labels to the fragrance, color & fun shape of our unique bath bombs. Our little team shapes each bath bomb and pours each candle by hand with tons of love and lots of care.
We even have our own private jeweler, Josh, on sight to create some really beautiful jewelry that goes into your candle or bath bomb! Wanna learn more about our jewelry process? Check out Jade's interview with Josh here: Jade's 2 Scents - Meet the Staff: Josh
What does this all mean for YOU?
We know you only want the best and because we source all of our materials from the USA we are able to bring you the best quality candles & bath bombs around!
Eco-consciousness is something that's always on our minds and we know it's important to you too! The US is unable to regulate environmental impact in other countries, but at home in the US, companies and manufacturers are required to follow rigorous environmental regulations. And because we aren't ordering our materials from the other side of the world we are able to cut down on our carbon footprint by cutting down on our shipping distance.
Not only that, you'll be able to sleep easy knowing that every bit of your candle is made using safe & fair labor practices. The Department of Labor’s Fair Labor Standards Act requires that American employees receive at least the federal minimum wage and restricts the hours that children under 16 can work.
