So… A bit about one of our $5,000 jewels - the beautiful London Blue Topaz Ring!

Meet the Maker
Josh (pictured above) is our resident Master Jeweler and Gemologist. Josh’s impressive resume includes:
What IS gemology?
Gemology is the process by which professionals learn to identify precious gems and synthetic stones.
How?
Not just by looking at it, of course! There is a whole scientific process behind the examination process.
Most average jewelers look at a stone and can guess the basics, if it looks like a ruby or sapphire, but there are hundreds of stones that look alike. Gemology teaches master jewelers to identify the minute differences between gems and stones, giving a much more accurate profile of the piece of jewelry, the featured pieces, and the overall appraisal value.
With this knowledge, Josh is able to understand the whole process behind a piece of jewelry from start to finish.
The most expensive piece of jewelry Josh has ever made was worth $58,000, featuring a beautiful 5 karat diamond.
What do Gemologists look for?
What tools do Gemologists use?
Having so many impossibly small details to look out for, the basic beginning steps of making a unique ring from scratch can take an entire day. And that’s before polishing, cleaning, and checking to make sure everything is perfectly aligned.
When making custom rings, master jewelers start out with a wax carving of the ideal ring design, and that carving is made in gold, the stones are set, everything is aligned, leveled, etc. Such a lengthy process makes it that much more rewarding when master jewelers and gemologists get to see the looks of awe on the faces of those purchasing the rings!

The London Blue Topaz Ring
Our gorgeous London Blue Topaz ring is inspired by Queen Elizabeth and British royalty.
This stunning piece of jewelry features:
The Halo (Josh’s favorite ring style) is the featured design of this absolute beauty. The halo of white diamonds surrounding the perfectly cut blue topaz not only makes the design look very clean and professional, but it also helps the royal blue of the topaz pop brilliantly. With the addition of 14 karat white gold to pull everything together, this is a one of a kind ring.

How do I know the value of MY ring?
The first step is finding your ring!
Once you have successfully removed your ring from your candle, you will find a tag on your ring. On the tag, you will find a label with a number code on it. After locating the code belonging to your unique ring, make your way over to our Appraisal page https://www.jackpotcandles.com/pages/appraisal. You will find a text box where you can enter your ring code and discover how much your beautiful prize is worth!
