Hey Jackpot Candles Fam!
Happy Friday, everyone! It's me, your Jackpot Candles girl Jade, here for another edition of my weekly vlog, Two Scents. We're gonna have lots of fun today talking about the best scented candles; the fizziest bath bombs; and anything else self-care related. I put a new episode out every week, so be sure to check back with me every Friday.
AMERICA! Heck Yeah! This weekend is the 4th of July, which means fun, fireworks, family, and more. I thought I'd do a fun episode where we talk about some 4th of July tips to keep you as prepared as possible for maximum rest and relaxation over this fun holiday weekend.
Let's get right into it!
Today's tips:
1.) Get a go-to 4th of July outfit- I went out and bought a simple t-shirt with an America-themed tagline. It says "Party Time" in red, white, and blue... I've had this for three years, and now every 4th of July, I have something to grab and wear with no extra clutter in my closet.
2.) Grab yourself an America-themed Bath Bomb - We have a star-spangled bath bomb for anyone whose looking to take a more relaxed approach this weekend. Our red, white, and blue star-shaped bomb fizzes out in a very patriotic color scheme and smells fresh, happy, and fun - think lemon and citrus vibes.
3.) Protect your Pets -You all know I have my lil Punkin' Spice! She's a cute little shih tzu... And for those of us with dogs, you know that fireworks can be a real problem. I thought it might be helpful to put together some of the things I do to help Punkin feel more relaxed while fireworks are in full effect this weekend.
- Basement:as long as your basement is finished and pet-friendly, let them chill out downstairs for the day. Give them some food and water and let them lounge around down there. It's cool (especially during this heat wave) and generally more sound-proof than someplace upstairs
- Distract them with food:if your dog is very food motivated, use that to your advantage! Give them snacks, have them do tricks, ANYTHING to keep their mind off of what's going on outside. With a little bit of food in their bellies, they'll more than likely feel more comfortable with what's going on around them.
- Comfort them:Put them in a nice air conditioned room. Put a giant, noisy fan in the room and turn it on full blast. Crank the TV. Blast the stereo. Purchase a thunder jacket and put it on them. Anything to make them feel like it's any other day.
- Train them: This... might be kind of difficult. But if you've got the patience, you might be able to condition your animal to associate firework sounds with positivity. Think Pavlov's dog, but with fireworks. Play some firework noises on your phone and give your dog a treat every time they hear. They might start to associate fireworks with food!
Plus, some more tips with a funny twist. Check out my vlog for more info!

First, let's mention our Star-Spangled Bath Bomb - it's red, white, and blue, fizzy as all-get-out, and an amazing way to spend this holiday weekend. Drop it in your tub for a blast of lemony, citrusy fragrance as well as skin soothing oils and butters. Next, let's talk about an absolute outdoor necessity... Our citronella two-pack.
