The Holidays are coming... They are practically here!!!!
Hello everyone welcome to Jade's two scents! You made it to my weekly blog, congratulations! Are the holidays already getting you down? Feeling a tad bit stressed?CAUSE SAME! I know there are hard-working people out there already stressing over Thanksgiving dinner, what do you cook, placesettings, family drama! And I know that there are people out there stressing about holiday gifts, decorations, baking, and more I'm sure. While holidays are supposed to be a fun cozy comfy time to be with our family and reflect on life, it can also be hecking stressful!
The power of scent is SO STRONG, especially with a candle, it can take you places and you don't even have to leave your couch. I strongly recommend that you like one of our most refreshing candles and take a trip to a calming place, where waves roll and birds fly. Are all natural wax and curated fragrance are sure to take you on a journey for a moment to destress from all the holiday drama. I have some tips!

Firstly people always underestimate the power of breathwork, taking a minute or even 30 seconds to focus on your breathing in through your nose out through your mouth can be incredibly calming. Breath is absolutely essential to life… Duh... But it also can help us center ourselves. Try to do deeper breaths than usual! Follow along with my video or find a breathing guide.
When attempting to put yourself into a position of meditation and thoughtfulness, it is very important to put aside any pressing worries or stresses. Yes I know, "Easy for you to say, Jade" but I think of it as focusing on my breathing is the most important thing and it requires my full attention. This is 30 seconds or two minutes of focused breathing and mindfulness that requires my entire brain.
It's even better when you have the swirling scents of ocean breeze or mermaid daydream floating around to provide the escape even more! If you are more of a babbling brook or stream type of person, look up some recordings on YouTube or your music streaming service. Or maybe you are used to the sounds of the city or even just some plain old white noise. Having some extra sound helps to distract you from the stress and take you away from your reality and focus deeper on YOU.
Finally, make sure you set an intention! Whenever I participate in breathwork, meditation or yoga I try to set an intention, maybe it's to get focused on the day ahead, wind down for the day or calm down/ recenter yourself from life in general. Keeping that prominent in your mind will help!!
