Hey Jackpot Candles Fam!
Hey everyone! You're watching Jade's Two Scents - it's my weekly Jackpot Candles vlog where I talk about ANYTHING I WANT... As long as it's candle; bath bomb; relaxation; or self-care related. Thanks for hanging out with us today.
Today I want to talk about glass. Let's glass it up! It's a play on words, you see... Get it?! glass it up/class it up?! How FUN!
We've done lots of stuff with re-using your candle jars... Getting your extra wax out of your candle jar... You name it, we've done it. Our candle jars are American-made, so they're super heavy duty and honestly really nice. We're all about refurbishing our jars afterward, and any time I come up with a cool new idea, I like to send it your way.
We're going to be working with an empty jar today, if you need some help on how to completely clean out your candle jar, I suggest either some boiling water or the freezer method - more of those ideas here and here.
For whatever reason, I happen to have a gigantic assortment of sea glass... So that's what we're working with today. I'm gonna make a little mosaic-inspired glass using glass. We really are going to glass... I mean classour jar up this week.
You'll need:
1.) An empty Jackpot Candles candle jar
2.) A hot glue gun
3.) Lots of sea glass (or another material that would make a good mosaic)
This one is honestly really simple! Pick out your favorite pieces of sea glass and start gluing them onto the jar in a way that makes sense. I found this to be very relaxing actually, I put on a podcast and just kept gluing and gluing until I was done. The way the sea glass fits together was reminiscent of a puzzle and put me in a similar head space.
If you've got some time, an empty candle jar, and are feeling crafty, I highly recommend this little project! I ended up putting a little tea light in the bottom of my candle jar - I might even add some sand to it later on for some added effect.

Let's talk a little bit about our newest monthly club - Zen! I've been feeling like a lot of people could benefit from a bit more self-care. It's really important to take a step back and relax every now and then, even though it might not always be so easy to make time for yourself. That's what this month's club is all about - our Zen candle is spa-like in every sense of the word - we want the scent to take you to that feeling of being in a spa. Expect woody, citrus, and clean notes with just a bit of floral, almost like a bamboo-ish scent. I am even MORE excited about our bath bomb this month - it's a lotus flower done in pinks, purples, and shimmery blues. It sparkles and shines in the light, so you know when you drop it in the tub you're in for a real treat!
Staying on-brand with the sea glass theme, I want to highlight two of our aquatic-scented candles this week - Mermaid Daydream and Ocean Breeze. First, we'll talk about Mermaid Daydream - this candle is clean and zesty, with notes of grapefruit, bergamot, and citrus on top of a traditionally aquatic ocean scent. Think a ripe citrus tree growing on the beach! As for Ocean Breeze - this is more of a standard ocean scent - think hints of ozone, Himalayan sea salt, and a hint of clean, fresh linen. Both of these candles make perfect summer scents - if you can't make it to the beach at all, you can simply light up one of our breezy candles!
Did you guys enjoy meeting Josh last week?! I'm happy to say that his $5000 ring is CREATED and ready to be dropped into a new candle or bath bomb. Remember that every single Jackpot Candles experience comes with a surprise ring or necklace. When you burn your candle or let your bath bomb fizzle into your tub, you'll see your jewelry pop out! Make sure you check out the code on each piece so that you can have it appraised - that's the most fun part!
