Fresh fruit. Confectionary warmth. Touches of sweet treats and relaxing weekend get-togethers. A warm and inviting scent profile with a decadent base of sugar cone and vanilla. A lovely presence that will fill your home for hours and hours. Our inspiration for Sunday Brunch were those idyllic Sunday afternoons spent with family or friends... Our hope is that our Sunday Brunch candle will transport you mentally to a comfy-cozy day at mom's house or a fun Sunday outing with your close friends.
As we were formulating Sunday Brunch, we had a specific kind of brunch in mind (and no, we don't mean a hearty breakfast of bacon and eggs!). We wanted Sunday Brunch to feel like a relaxing day at a relative's home or a lovely spring afternoon with perfect picnic weather. The peachy top notes are offset by warm, confectionary undertones... Which can bring to mind fresh-cut fruit or a warm peach cobbler. You'll eventually come across a tantalizing mixture of warm vanilla and candied nuts with a finish that nobody can resist - sweet, ice cream sugar cone!
We know you'll love our Sunday Brunch candle! Learn more about this light-but-delectable scent in this version of Scent Spotlight.
Top notes: Poached Peaches, Apricot, Pear Slices
The "top notes" are the first things you sense when you smell a candle's unique aroma. For Sunday Brunch, you'll notice the vibrant scent of fresh fruit. A distinct note of peach will fill the room, with undertones of apricot and ripe pear slices. It's a sweet but delicate scent that certainly gives off the vibe of a fresh, mid-morning brunch - not unlike a sparkling mimosa!
Heart Notes: Whipped Vanilla, Candied Praline
"Heart notes" are also callded "middle notes" - they are the parts of the scent profile that start to appear as the more fresh and zesty top notes of the candle begin to evaporate. For Sunday Brunch, expect the fresh fruit top notes to be filled out by sugary-sweet whipped vanilla cream. You'll also begin to detect hints of candied praline, for an earthy and nutty body that never loses it's sugary sweetness.
Base Notes: Crunchy Sugar Cone
Last (but not least) are the strong "base notes" of a candle. These are the scents that tend to hang around in the air as your candle goes through it's burning process. Scents like fresh fruits come and go (which is part of the fun), but as you burn your Sunday Brunch candle, you'll finally get to the heart of it's profile in crunchy sugar cone. This gives Sunday Brunch its confectionary backbone... And just like the perfect end to an actual Sunday brunch, it ends with the soul-soothing scent of an ice cream cone - specifically, a crunchy sugar cone!
Nostalgia:Are you feeling homesick? Miss those carefree, lazy Sundays where you snacked and snacked and snacked until you couldn't snack any more? Sunday Brunch is one of those scents that transports you right back to mom or grandma's house with its fresh-baked profile of sugary sweetness.
Coziness: Is there anything better than a house filled with the aroma of freshly-baked confectionaries? It's part of that "warm and fuzzy" feeling that we all strive for when we come home after a long day at work or school. Luckily, we don't all have to be master bakers to enjoy the scent of a cozy home - that's where Sunday Brunch steps in.
Sweet Tooth: Gourmand candles are perfect for people who can't resist a sweet treat! Pair this one up with a Warm Apple Pie, a Cinnamon Bun, French Vanilla, Pumpkin Spice, or any other "foodie" scented candle for amazingly fragrant results. You'll be surprised how amazing it is to have a variation of scents to choose from - sometimes you just need to smell that sweet peach goodness.
